Natural Tai Chi
Mindful Movement for Health and Wellbeing
Natural Tai Chi is a system of Tai Chi Qigong based upon natural movement and mindfulness. The practices within the Natural Tai Chi system are therapeutic exercises derived from classical Tai Chi Quan, Qigong exercises, Daoist cultivation and Chinese medical principles.
We teach the Natural Tai Chi System through the Wimbledon Tai Chi Qigong program. The classes make use of simple exercises that focus upon mindful natural movement, body awareness, relaxation, and softness. With an emphasis on how the exercises are done, rather than what they look like, to ensure the most benefit. The material is geared towards releasing the nervous system and body to alleviate pain, and trauma, gain energy, calm the emotions and encourage peace of mind.
The practices are all gentle, enjoyable and accessible and of course tailored towards the indiviual participants as much as is possible. The classes have been designed to be safe yet effective, the gentle exercises often leaves people feeling refreshed and invigorated, with an overall sense of peace and wellbeing.
